About Aurelius

Aurelius Therapeutics develops peptide radioligand therapies for solid tumors that surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy do not adequately treat.

Each therapy is a small peptide, designed to bind one antigen on the tumor cell, which carries a therapeutic radionuclide into the tumor and holds it there. The same peptide, labeled with an imaging radionuclide, shows before treatment whether the target is present and where the dose will go, so patients are selected on a scan rather than on a probability. The company was incorporated in 2024 and is led by people who have taken multiple radiopharmaceuticals from inception to patients.

Radioligand therapy has already changed the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors and of prostate cancer. Extending it to other solid tumors requires new targets, ligands that bind them selectively, and the manufacturing and supply chain needed to deliver a radioactive drug to a patient on schedule. Aurelius was founded to do all three.

At a glance

  • Peptide radioligands of fewer than 40 residues, each a theranostic pair on one scaffold.
  • Four therapeutic programs against undisclosed solid-tumor targets, the lead in optimization.
  • An alpha platform that converts any of them without a new ligand or imaging agent.
  • Discovery, optimization, radiochemistry, and CMC under one roof.

Platform

The molecule, the discovery technologies, lead optimization and radiochemistry, the radionuclides, and how a product that decays by the hour is manufactured.

Pipeline

Four theranostic programs and an alpha platform, each therapeutic paired with its own imaging agent.
